Passo indietro da parte dell'assessore alla Cultura di Napoli Nicola Oddati, dopo che lo staff spagnolo del Forum delle Culture ha assegnato l'edizione 2010 dell'evento alla città di Valparaiso in Cile. Come detto in precedenza, Napoli aveva anticipato i tempi cercando di candidarsi già per l'edizione del 2010 (e non nel 2013 come previsto da mesi). Ma dopo l'assegnazione alla città cilena, l'assessore Oddati ha comunque confermato che Napoli si candiderà per l'edizione 2013 (anche se tecnicamente il Forum del 2013 non è ancora assegnabile), anche perchè, stando alle sue parole (ben diverse da quelle pronunciate pochi giorni fa), non ci sarebbero stati nè il tempo, nè i fondi necessari per portare a termine i progetti realizzati appositamente per l'evento. Ulteriori sviluppi dovrebbero arrivare nei prossimi giorni.
